Gulfstream Aerospace has set a new city-pair speed record with its Gulfstream G550, in a flight from Shanghai to Seattle in 10 hr., 29 min. It brings the number of records the jet has earned to 55. The aircraft flew 5,123 nm at an average speed of Mach 0.85 from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport on April 19 at 2:09 p.m. and landed at Seattle’s King County International Airport Boeing Field at 9:38 a.m. local time.
