The U.S. and Mali this week signed an open-skies agreement in Washington. With the agreement, Mali is the 72nd country to sign an open-skies deal with the U.S., and the 15th in sub-Saharan Africa. This is the first air services agreement between the U.S. and Mali, which includes all-cargo seventh-freedom rights, allowing airlines to operate international cargo flights without connecting to their homeland.
