Utilization Change For Business Operator Classes

New data for the first quarter of 2024 period from Aviation Week Network's Tracked Aircraft Utilization shows that fractional operators lead growth for hourly flown figures, having surpassed its performance against Q1 2023 (+8%) and Q1 2019 (+55%) for the same 3-month period. Results for Non-scheduled Airlines (Charter) entities show a 5% increase year-on-year, while its recent 3-month total was 38% above the Q1 2019 utilization.

The total hrs. for Corporate operators – the largest of the four operator classes – came to just under 900,000 hrs. Q1 2024, only 2% below Q1 2023 and 12% above the same period of 2019.
