From The Archives: Dassault Debuts 5X Successor
As the Dassault Falcon 6X made its Asian debut at the Singapore Airshow 2024, we take a look in the archive at when Dassault took the wraps off the 5,500-nm-range aircraft at a daylong technical briefing at Paris Le Bourget on Feb. 28.
We reported that its first flight was scheduled for 2021 and would be powered by two 13,000 to 14,000 lb.-thrust Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D turbofans.
The Falcon 6X succeeds the Falcon 5X "which would have been powered by 11,450 lb.-thrust Safran Silvercrest turbofans, had it gone into service".
