New figures from Aviation Week Intelligence Network’s Tracked Aircraft Utilization data shows that fractional operators led growth for hourly flown figures, having surpassed their performance from 2022-23 (+6%) and 2019-20 (+39%) for the same three-month period, Dec. 2023-Feb. 2024.

Results for non-scheduled airlines, or charter operators, show a 5% increase year-on-year, while their recent three-month total was 39% above the December 2019 to February 2020 utilization.

Total hours for corporate operators—the largest of the four operator classes—came to just shy of 880,000 hr. during the recent three-month period, only 1% below December 2022 to February 2023 and 22% higher than the same period from 2019-20.
