Diamond, Siemens Fly First Multi-Engine Hybrid Diamond Aircraft Industries has flown the first multi-engine hybrid-electric aircraft, a demonstrator developed jointly with electric motor supplier Siemens. The modified DA40 made its first flight on Oct. 31 from Wiener Neustadt in Austria.
