Lessor BOC Aviation has ordered eight shipsets of CFM International Leap 1A engines to power new Airbus A320neo family aircraft on order and scheduled for delivery in 2023.

The agreement with CFM, announced at the Singapore Airshow, will take the number of CFM-powered aircraft in BOC’s fleet to 486.

A320neo customers have a choice of the Leap 1A or the Pratt & Whitney GTF engine, while the Boeing 737 MAX is a sole-source engine with the CFM Leap 1B.
