Azerbaijan is a 90% Shia republic where the quality of life is much better than Iran under the mullahs and revolutionary guard. Iran's close association with North Korea and Hezbollah have brought nothing but misery. The future for Iran's economy looks bleak. The E.U. seems to be joining the U.S. in pressuring Iran to reform along the lines of Azerbaijan.
