HAECO Cabin Solutions has inked a strategic commercial agreement with Diehl Aviation to widen its aircraft cabin interiors offerings with the potential of developing a new joint interior product in the future.

HAECO Cabin Solutions president and group director Doug Rasmussen said in the statement that HAECO is able to bring its expertise in supplemental type certificates, reconfiguration projects, and seating products to the table while Diehl has expertise in galleys, lavatories, smart monuments, sidewalls, bins and lightings.

“The overall combination allows us to provide more efficient and passenger-centric cabin interiors.” He added.

The company said no specific additional training is required and will be providing the installation and modification works in its facilities in Xiamen, Hong Kong and Americas.

Earlier in May, Diehl introduced a new A320neo cabin package featuring new LED lights, sidewalls and touch free toilets to cater to long haul operations in the pandemic world. jetBlue is the launch customer.
