SR Technics Promotes Caroline Vandedrinck
Caroline Vandedrinck will become senior VP sales for SR Technics as of Sept. 1 and will lead a new sales organization. She will report directly to CEO Jean-Marc Lenz. She has served as VP Americas for the Zurich-based MRO since 2016.

EASA Approves Synchronous Distance Learning
EASA approved Airbus Training Services’ “synchronous distance learning” for theoretical maintenance courses, which will allow customers to perform training locally with the support of field service reps who are trained as an “examination invigilator.”

GVH Aerospace Gets STC for A320 Aircraft
GVH Aerospace has completed the EASA STC for installation of a 90-day underwater locator beacon (ULB) for the Airbus A320 family. The 90-day ULB STC is available immediately to customers via a service bulletin.

EFW Gets FAA Certification for A321 P2F Conversion
Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW) has received FAA certification for its Airbus A321 passenger to freighter conversion. It received EASA certification for the conversion in Q1 2020.

Magnetic MRO Gets Part 147 Online Training Approval
Magnetic MRO Training has received EASA Part 147 online training approval and is already performing its first synchronous distance learning in Airbus A320 type training.

Triumph Group Signs MRO Agreement with GAL
Triumph Group has signed an agreement with Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) to provide MRO products and services for aircraft accessories and components for military aircraft. GAL services and repairs for its Middle Eastern customers.

JetBlue Signs V2500 Engine Service Agreement
JetBlue has signed a 13-year service agreement with IAE International Aero Engines AG for 230 Pratt & Whitney V2500 engines that power its Airbus A320ceo family fleet.

IAI Completes Pickle Fork Frame Fitting Replacement
Israel Aerospace Industries successfully performed the replacement of pickle fork frame fittings for a Boeing 737-800, which it says is a complex procedure requiring extensive engineering work. The replacement took place following the detection of a crack during a routine C check for the aircraft at its Bedek MRO facility.

CRJ900 Teardown
ASI Aero has completed the part-out of a CRJ900 acquired from AeroCentury.

Viking Air Renews Maintenance Deal
Viking Air has renewed a maintenance support deal with Fuerza Aerea del Peru for 12 Series 400 Twin Otters for five years.
