N219 Makes Do With a Model

It was originally listed for static exhibition at Asian Aerospace, but the new N219 turboprop light transport will only be seen as a model on the PT Dirgantara Indonesia indoor exhibit. Two prototypes of the $6 million 19-seater are flying, but the target of certification and an initial six deliveries in 2019 have not been met. The N219 cruises at 190 kt. and features a Garmin G1000 avionics suite and two 850-shp Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42 engines driving Hartzell four-blade propellers.
