Notwithstanding the political and technological challenges it would be interesting to see competitive aircraft. Not sure this project will get off the ground though.
EK has thrown EADS a lifeline with 20 A380’s — if only to make sure they keep their fleet age at a consistent level. They probably got a sweetheart deal and it allows EADS to hope/pray someone...
While the A380 is a technological achievement it is a plane in search of a market that likely will never materialize. Suspect this program is not likely to continue.
