With a hot market for used aircraft improving hull values, it has become financially viable to repair or exchange engines to extend the life of the aircraft. Engine service providers are noting an uptick in demand, expanding facilities and adding services.

AOG Engine Support
At the beginning of 2021, Duncan Aviation promised that all engine customers in an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situation would receive a call from a Rapid Response Team (RRT) member within 30 minutes of an AOG request, with a follow-up within an hour as to labor availability and logistics planning. The calls will be followed within 24 hours with technicians on-site at the aircraft’s location, pending agreements and approvals.

The multi-location MRO, which services most leading brands and models of business aircraft engines, has 17 engine Rapid Response dispatch locations throughout the U.S. Due to rapid growth, Duncan Aviation added nine new skilled engine technicians around the country in the past year. A new RRT dispatch location was set to be operational in mid-September in Charlotte, North Carolina.
