DOT Dismissed Community Air's Application For Scheduled Service
DOT dismissed Community Air's application for scheduled service, noting that the startup carrier had not submitted materials required to complete its application after DOT had granted it "a number...of extensions of time to respond" to DOT's requests for additional information. "On Aug. 4, we were advised by the applicant that its proposed funding had not materialized and that the company had laid off all of its employees," DOT said in its dismissal order. The carrier is seeking another investor (DAILY, Aug. 23). (Docket OST-99-5008)
