Flag carrier Saudia has assigned base maintenance of its Airbus A320 family fleet to Lithuania-based MRO provider FL Technics.

Under the terms of the agreement, which will run for an undisclosed period, the Saudi Arabian airline will send the narrowbody aircraft to FL Technics’ Kaunas base.

FL Technics confirmed that the first of the A320 aircraft landed in Kaunas to undergo maintenance in early August.

Zilvinas Lapinskas, CEO at FL Technics, says the new contract is a recognition of the quality of its services and an endorsement of its business model targeting continuous improvement and growth.

Lapinskas adds that to ramp up for contracts of this kind, the maintenance specialist is looking to add to its workforce.

“As more and more prestigious global companies choose us, it comes as no surprise that we are constantly looking for reinforcements, mechanics and engineers who would like to work in our hangars and thus contribute to the rapid development of FL Technics,” he says.
