Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is advancing plans for a new terminal to meet surging demand.

Durango Airport in Colorado is also served by American Airlines and United Airlines.

The resumption follows the relaunch of FRA-Las Vegas service in March.

The Californian airport expects 2022 passenger numbers to exceed 2019 levels.

The LCC already operates 14 routes from PHX.

A total of 13 routes are being launched from the secondary airports in Chicago and Houston by Frontier, most of which are served by rival Southwest Airlines.

The ULCC is, among other objectives, buttressing flying from two Midwest US airports at which it is establishing aircraft and crew bases in 2022.
