Lilium has signed an agreement with parts and repairs provider AJW Group to provide global spares distribution for the Lilium Jet electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft (eVTOL).

UK-headquartered AJW will provide management of Lilium’s spares inventory, warehouse and logistics services, repair and asset management, and serve as the exclusive parts supplier for Lilium customers. AJW already supplies parts for Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier aircraft to customers including EasyJet.

Munich-based Lilium has pivoted from regional air mobility to private aviation as the launch market for the Lilium Jet and has sold small fleets of the initial four-passenger Lilium Pioneer Edition to distributors and operators in the UK, U.S., Middle East and Switzerland as well as customers in China.

Lilium is assembling the first Lilium Jet and plans to begin manned test flights in the second half of 2024. The startup is aiming for European and U.S. certification and first customer deliveries by early 2026. Most of the systems in the Lilium Jet come from established aerospace suppliers such as Honeywell.
