SINGAPORE—Singapore-based LCC Scoot is continuing to expand its Embraer E-Jet support and services capabilities, signing for a Pool Program services agreement with the Brazilian manufacturer.

The Singapore Airlines subsidiary is slated to take delivery of the first of nine E190-E2s in 2024.

The Embraer component distribution center is already based in Singapore’s Changi free trade zone, which covers exchanges and repair services for more than 300 repairable parts. Embraer says the pool program supports more than 60 airlines worldwide, allowing airlines to minimize its upfront investment in high-value repairable inventories.

“This strategic arrangement with Embraer will minimize maintenance delays for the E190-E2, essentially boosting operational readiness,” Scoot COO Ng Chee Keong said in a statement.

Scoot also opted for the Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis (AHEAD) system, a preventive maintenance tool to give ground crew early detection capabilities for critical systems and prevent operations disruptions.

In September, Embraer and CAE agreed to establish E2 full flight simulator and pilot training programs in Singapore starting in December 2023. The new facility will support Scoot as well as Malaysia’s SKS Airways’ future E2 pilot training.
